    What is Google Gemini AI?

Google Gemini AI is a new suite of generative AI services that Google is launching specifically for companies interested in extending their AI services. It is a family of multimodal AI models created by the Google DeepMind project. Despite its name, Google describes Gemini Pro as a “light” version of its AI models, but it looks like the standard version. The family also includes Gemini Ultra, a premium AI that Google hopes to make a mainstay in its suite; Gemini Nano rounds out the trio. Nano is the mobile-friendly version of the large-scale language model that will be included in the Google Pixel 8 Pro with the December feature drop. It will enable on-device processing and eventually reach other Android smartphones.

Google Gemini AI: Multimodal from the Start

Google was building the next generation of AI. This project is guided by Google Team Brain Team and DeepMind and is built on PaLM 2 Pathways Language Model 2, the core technology Google uses to drive AI capabilities across its suite of products. Technology that Google uses to drive AI capabilities across its suite of products. It includes Google Cloud products and services, Gmail, Google Workspace, hardware devices such as Pixel smartphones and Nest thermostats, and the famous AI chatbot Bard. At the time, Gemini AI was still in full development and training mode, but Pichai clarified how the new AI differs. The model can process images, text, audio, video, and coding languages. New features allow for functions such as visual graph writing analysis. The first iteration of the model Gemini 1.0 has been optimized for three sizes: Gemini Ultra, Pro, and Nano.

So, How good is Google Gemini AI?

This release comes just one month after OpenAI announced the launch of GPT-4v, its multimodal model capable of understanding GPT-4 Turbo and image input. It is premature to conclude that Gemini has overtaken OpenAI or GPT-4, but it looks that way. In an interview with The Verge, Hassibis acknowledged that Google tested Gemini against GPT-4 across 32 benchmarks and found Gemini to be “significantly superior” on 30 of them. One of Gemini’s outstanding achievements to date is that it outperformed human experts in massive multitasking language understanding (MMLU), becoming the first model to achieve a score of 90.0%. At the same time, Gemini Ultra scored slightly above GPT-4 on various benchmarks, including. Learn more about Grok And Claude AI

    • Math (53.2% vs. 52.9%),
    • HumanEval (74.4% vs. 67.0%).

    Inspired by AlphaGo

Gemini is indebted to AlphaGo, developed by Google’s DeepMind and became the first computer program to defeat a human professional Go player. AI history began in 2016 when AlphaGo defeated one of the world’s best Go players, Lee Sedol, in his own game. The technology used in AlphaGo will be combined with technology that enhances ChatGPT.Gemini combines some of an AlphaGo-type system’s strengths with a large-scale model’s fantastic language capabilities.

    Early Versions

The Information reported that Google began distributing early versions of this model to a few companies in September. One official who tested the technology told the media that the GPT-4 could have advantages because it leverages Google’s data from consumer products and Information gathered from the Internet. The report said this addition should allow the model to understand user intent more accurately. The official also said that the model appears to have reduced the number of incorrect answers, a common problem with artificial intelligence known as hallucination. AI-powered chatbots have been shown to present false knowledge as fact. In February, a Google ad against ChatGPT rival Bard showed an AI chatbot giving inaccurate answers. Researchers at the SemiAnalysis blog predict that Google’s Gemini AI will likely perform better than the GPT-4 because of Google’s access to top-class chips.

    Features of Google Gemini AI

However, in addition to being the largest language model, based on recent reports, Google Gemini AI has several expected features. Some of these are listed below.

    • A series of models: Gemini must be considered “individual models of various sizes. The new platform can handle tasks of any size, depending on the use case.
    • Multimodal Learning: Gemini’s AI infrastructure includes “some improvements” on Google DeepMind’s previous multimodal models, allowing it to learn and generate at least text and images.
    • Problem Solving and Reasoning: Google’s new LLM also touts reinforcement learning to solve problems of hallucination and information inaccuracy common in Google Gemini’s competitors, such as ChatGPT.
    • Fact-checking and memory: Google Search as a tool is built into Gemini’s AI infrastructure to improve the accuracy of generated content. In addition, Gemini uses an “episodic memory bank” to store and retrieve data, enabling it to build and expand its knowledge base as it learns.

These features show Gemini’s performance against other AI personal assistants and applications like ChatGPT and Bard. Expect improved interactive AI infrastructure and more accurate and relevant user results.
